Four offers in one day for Green

Rasheem Green had the best day in his young recruitment on Tuesday and according to Gardena (Calif.) Serra coach Scott Altenberg it could only get better from here.
The 2015 defensive lineman landed offers from USC, Florida, Cal and Washington all in one day as coaches got their first glimpse of Green in person as the spring evaluation period kicks off.

The 6-foot-5, 270-pound prospect already had an offer from UCLA and with major programs across the country stopping by Serra in the coming weeks because of numerous 2014 standouts, it could help Green's recruitment get a jumpstart as well.
Altenberg said once college coaches see Green in person there's no doubt they're going to be enamored with the possibilities.
"Rasheem is an absolute freak," Altenberg said. "He's 6-5, 270 and he still runs a 4.8 40. He's not normal as an individual and he's just a baby, he's 15 years old.
"He's insane. He's an absolute freak and we don't even know how good he is. His upside is going to be huge because he doesn't have an ounce of body fat on him. He's just an amazing athlete. He can play anything."
Green, who recently said he's also hearing from Miami, Utah and other programs, could play either defensive end or defensive tackle and Altenberg said it's really up to him or college coaches to determine where he fits best.
Because of his outstanding size, athleticism and potential, the Serra coach said his 2015 prospect could be a special one in the coming years.
"I think he's a d-end or d-tackle," Altenberg said. "He could put on 40 pounds in a minute and be a legit three-technique. He's so strong. He's like bull strong. His upside is through the roof."
Serra did not have school on Monday so Tuesday was really its first day of spring evaluations. Green landed four major offers and more could be coming soon.
"That was just the first day," Altenberg said. "We'll see what happens tomorrow."
