Four offers in for Texas QB

Pflugerville, Texas quarterback Todd Walker is one of the state's top prospects for 2005 and several schools have already stepped forward with offers.
“Todd is a very good athlete for us,” Pflugerville coach George Hermann said. “He’s our quarterback, but some people think he’ll be a defensive back in college. I just know he’s good enough to play college football.”

As a quarterback in 2003, the 6-foot-1, 175-pound Walker threw for 789 yards and rushed for 832. He scored a combined 17 touchdowns.
“I think he wants to be a quarterback,” Hermann said. “That would be his first choice. We’re going to let him show his talents there, but he’s a good enough athlete to play elsewhere if that’s what he decides to do. I think he’ll be one of the better quarterbacks around the state this next year.”
Walker already has scholarship offers from Baylor, Texas A&M, Purdue and Houston.
“Those four aren’t alone as far as schools looking at him,” the coach said. “He’s getting interest already from Texas, Texas Tech and Alabama.
