Four offers for Turner

It was a productive summer for Harper Woods (Mich.) Chandler Park Academy defensive end Andre Turner, who picked up his first four scholarship offers of the process following summer camp appearances.
The 6-foot-4, 220-pound Turner heads into the fall with offers from Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan, Toledo and Western Michigan. He also camped at Cincinnati and Illinois this summer, and continues to receive interest from those two programs.

"At Cincinnati it went great," Turner said. "They definitely liked the way I played and said they were going to give me a call soon."
At Illinois, Turner worked with defensive line coach Keith Gilmore and received positive feedback following that performance.
"The coach liked the way I played and he said I just needed a little more work in my hips, but he was very interested and wanted to see me play the first game," Turner said.
Turner plans to return to Cincinnati and Illinois this fall, catching the Bearcats home opener against Pitt on Oct. 6 and Illinois' second home game of the season against Charleston Southern on Sept. 15.
Chandler Park Academy opens their 2012 campaign this weekend in Canton, Ohio. Turner primarily plays defensive end, but also sees spot duty on offense at tight end. Most colleges project him to defensive end at the next level, though Cincinnati and Western Michigan have also talked about using him at outside linebacker as well.
Besides the schools he camped at, Turner said he is also receiving mail and interest from Big Ten programs Michigan State and Indiana.
