Four offers for DePietro

One of the hottest offensive line prospects on the east coast is Adam DePietro of Lancaster (Pa.) Catholic. DePietro had been holding an offer from Northwestern, but recently added three new offers, and may be adding another this weekend.
"Recruiting really picked up out of nowhere in the last month or so," said DePietro. "I got offers from Boston College, Rutgers and West Virginia all within that time frame. I should be adding Pitt to that list this weekend."

DePietro, 6-foot-5 and 275 pounds, believes that a recent event may have helped him with these new offers.
"After that Elite Lineman Challenge I went to at Rutgers, it really seemed to heat up for me," said DePietro. "I felt like I did really well there and certainly proved that I could compete with the best in my class. I think with my performance I was put into that category."
DePietro has already taken visits to Boston College, Virginia and Rutgers, and will visit Pittsburgh this weekend and Northwestern on April 2nd.
Aside from the four offers he currently holds, and the possibility of a Pittsburgh offer this weekend, DePietro is also receiving increased interest from two other schools.
"I've been talking some to Stanford and they seem pretty interested and I'm still talking with Virginia," said DePietro.
After his upcoming visits, DePietro will begin to piece together his summer schedule.
"I haven't decided on which team camps I'm going to yet," said DePietro. "I'm going to wait a little bit once I narrow my list down and see which ones I'm really interested in."
DePietro was also asked about any possible timeline for a final decision.
"I'd like to make my decision in the early fall," he said. "I want to get some official visits in first though."
