Four more offers for 2014 OL

Junior offensive lineman Alex Bookser of Mt. Lebanon, Pa. picked up two offers before the turn of the New Year from Pittsburgh and Virginia. Since 2013 arrived recruiting has been very good for the 6-foot-6, 295-pounder, as he has added four more offers to his total.
"Recruiting has been picking up, I would say," said Bookser. "Within the last month I've picked up offers from Rutgers, West Virginia, Maryland and Toledo, so it's getting more exciting."

Bookser realizes that his hard work is really beginning to pay off.
"It's really exciting to see that a number of schools are interested in me this early, but I know I still have a lot of work to do and I still want to prove myself," said Bookser, who mentioned that Penn State, Maryland and Miami-Ohio have all recently stopped by his school.
During the fall, Bookser had the opportunity to attend games at Pittsburgh, Penn State and Michigan.
"They were all good," he said. "I had already been to Pitt games before, but to stand on the sideline before the game was really cool. And the Penn State and Michigan games were both really cool because they both were packed, and it was crazy to see that kind of atmosphere."
Next for Bookser are a few additional visits.
"I know I'm going to Pitt's junior day on February 2nd, and I really want to try and make it to Virginia's too," said Bookser. "Other than the Pitt one, I really don't have anything set in stone."
In between visits and dealing with recruiting, Bookser will be working to improve his game and prepare for his senior season.
"I'll just be working on my overall game, and focusing on getting stronger and faster so that I can dominate competition in the fall," said Bookser. "The recruiting just helps me to know that I can be rewarded for all the work I'm putting in."
