Four lead for Minnesota TE

One of the top tight ends in the Midwest and one of Minnesota's best overall prospects is focusing on four schools and hopes to have a decision within the next month.
Will Johnson, a 6-foot-7, 245-pound tight end from Osseo, Minnesota, has spent a good portion of the summer visiting some of the schools that have offered.

Those visits have helped him get to where he is today.
"I'm starting to kind of narrow it down but I'm still open to other stuff," Johnson said on Monday. "I really like Auburn, Ole Miss, Minnesota and Iowa.
"Minnesota's real close to home and they've got a good coaching staff that I'm getting to know real well.
"Ole Miss has a good coaching staff as well. They only have like two tight ends on their depth chart so it seems like they have a good opportunity for me.
"Iowa sends their players to the NFL and their tight ends have done well. Their tight ends coach does a great job, as well as their head coach.
"Auburn was the first SEC school that talked to me and I've gotten to know them real well. We've been keeping in touch a lot."
Johnson is hoping he can make a decision by the start of two-a-days in mid-August but he isn't necessarily going to hold himself to that.
"Some other stuff has been coming up so I'm not sure what's going to happen," he acknowledged. "Vanderbilt has been talking to me. I would love to know what I'm going to do, though."
Johnson doesn't have any set plans for the rest of the summer but he said he's open to something if it comes along.
