Former Southridge TE has his eyes on home

Three recruiting classes ago Willie Roberts was the top-rated tight end in the country, and he signed with the hometown Hurricanes. He never made it onto campus because he failed to academically qualify. Last year Miami placed him at Jeremy Shockey’s old school Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College. Is the 6-foot-7 and 240 pound standout still looking to return home?
“Miami placed him late last year, so we had to red-shirt him,” Coach Patterson said. “Right now, he’s looking to graduate in May. He still committed to Miami, but we’ll have to see if he graduates on time.”

Coach Patterson told FlaRecruiting.com that Roberts has a lot of potential because he's big target that runs a 40-yard dash in 4.7 seconds.
If Roberts makes it back, it’ll be a huge pickup for the Canes.
