Tyler Foreman did not see the offer from Oklahoma coming just like the Encino (Calif.) Crespi safety was surprised by the handful of other offers he's received so far.
All of his offers have come as a surprise but Foreman said he was definitely excited to land one from the Sooners earlier this week after they watched him at practice.
"My coach told me the day before they'd be coming and when they showed up they offered me," Foreman said. "I hadn't been talking to them at all before that.
"They said I have really good size and I play fast. They saw me run around and stuff and they really liked me."
A visit to Oklahoma could definitely happen for Foreman, a 6-foot-2, 190-pound three-star safety. Since the offer is so new nothing has been scheduled yet but Foreman is definitely interested in the Big 12 powerhouse.
"I am seriously considering them," Foreman said. "I would probably take a visit out there to see how it is and see what the campus is like."
Rated as the No. 29 safety in the 2013 class by Rivals.com, Foreman said he's still deliberately going through the recruiting process.
With offers from Oklahoma, Arizona, Arizona State, Boise State and Oregon State, Foreman said he's comfortable sitting back and letting things happen.
He doesn't have any new interest but that doesn't mean more offers might not be coming in since all five have been surprises so far.
"I'm still taking everything easy," Foreman said. "Everybody that has offered me is out of the blue."
