Foreman plans to visit three

Manvel, Texas quarterback Dexter Foreman admits his junior season did not go incredibly well last year. Injuries and other issues caused a big dropoff from his sophomore campaign. In fact, he came into his senior season competing for a starting job and ended up platooning as a starter throughout the year.
The one-time Colorado commit handled it well and helped lead Manvel to their deepest postseason run in school history. Because of that, interest has started to pick back up in the 6-foot-1, 210-pound passer. Three schools are currently recruiting him the hardest.

"My father and I are taking a look at our schedule right now," Foreman said. "We're currently setting up visits to Tulsa, Colorado and Baylor. All three have offered me.
"I haven't set up exact visit dates just yet. We just got on that because I had to get everything done with the Clearinghouse. I've been dealing with that all over this Christmas break."
Foreman says he has had the opportunity to speak with new Colorado head coach Jon Embree since was hired almost a month ago.
"I've talked to coach Embree personally," he said. "He was just interested in me making an official visit. Since he was the new coach he wanted to know what his recruits were looking like. He asked me to send a highlight tape of my senior year and he said he liked what he saw.
"At Tulsa I've been talking to coach Van Malone since he left Texas A&M. At Baylor I've been talking to coach Odell James."
There has been talk among fans that Foreman could possibly make the transition to wide receiver or linebacker at the next level but he says no schools have mentioned it.
"They're all looking at me as a QB," he said. "There's no other position. They're all interested in me at the quarterback position and that's where I'm mostly likely sticking at."
Splitting time with Tra Colwell, Foreman completed 63-percent of his passes while throwing for 1,198 yards and 10 touchdowns in helping lead the Mavericks to an 11-3 record.
