Forcier lands big offer

He doesn't get nearly the national attention he deserves, but San Diego (Calif.) St. Augustine quarterback Chris Forcier should definitely be mentioned among the nation's top players at his position.
Forcier has a handful of offers on the table and just received offer No. 6 from Big 12 country on Tuesday.

Forcier, 6-3, 180 pounds picked up early offers from Mississippi, Mississippi State, Oregon, San Diego State and Wisconsin and landed another one earlier in the week.
"Nebraska just offered him Tuesday," St. Augustine coach Jerry Ralph said. "Things have been really busy with Chris right now. In addition to the offers he has, USC and UCLA are very hot on him as are Miami and Florida.
"Georgia, Clemson and LSU are recruiting him very hard as well and Michigan loves him too."
Although he wasn't mentioning Nebraska earlier in the process, the recent offer has done much to change that.
"I'm very excited about this offer and it definitely puts Nebraska up higher on my list," Forcier said. "I think Nebraska is a program that's back on track to where it was. I like how they pass the ball now with the type of offense Coach Callahan runs and them being a big time football school helps their stock.
"Nebraska has great tradition and atmosphere and I have a couple teammates that are going to Nebraska. One being Menelik Holt and Jordan Congdan, a freshman All-American kicker, already there. Menelik has told me that they really like me a lot and are looking forward to meeting with me."
