Forcier close on local offer

San Diego (Calif.) St. Augustine quarterback Jason Forcier is one of the top signal callers in the West region this year. Forcier had a very solid showing in the Saints come from behind 42-20 win last weekend which was seen by one of top schools on his short list.
Focier is one of the nation’s top dual threat quarterbacks who can beat you as easily with his legs as his arm. Two weeks ago, he ran for 66 and 99 yard touchdowns and had a strong throwing game last weekend completing 17-25 passes for 254 yards and three touchdowns and added a 20 yard run late in the game to seal the win.

UCLA assistant coach Brian Schneider was on hand to watch Forcier and the signal caller couldn’t help but notice.
“I had a good game and Coach Schneider said he was impressed,” Forcier said. “They want me to send more tape and I think they’re getting close to offering. Utah is my top school right now but if UCLA offered, those two would be at the top of my list.”
Utah has done a great job recruiting Forcier and was one of the first schools to offer him in the Spring. He’ll take an official visit to Utah (Oct. 15), which is the only visit he has set up so far.
“I also like Oregon State, Arizona State, Colorado and San Diego State,” Forcier added. “I’m not sure if I’ll take any more visits or not after the Utah visit. I think more than likely it will come down to Utah and UCLA.”
