Foose close to new offers

Paramus (N.J.) Catholic offensive tackle Dan Foose visited Penn State last weekend and had nothing but positive things to say about the experience.
The 6-foot-6, 305-pound lineman is holding on to an offer from Rutgers but is hoping more scholarships come flowing in before too long.

In a recent interview he broke down the recruiting process and recent developments in that area.
"Of course, this past weekend I was at Penn State. I met coach (Joe) Paterno and we had a tour. I got to hang out with my brother and his friends."
He plans on visiting several other schools in the near future.
"I've been in touch with Pitt and Boston College. I'm going to my second junior day there on (March) 21," he said. "They're talking about offering. I just have to pass the eyeball test.
"Tennessee, Miami and some schools down south are starting to show interest, too."
Foose plans on attending a practice at Rutgers on Tuesday with his parents. He will also attend a practice at UConn but does not know when.
He will attend spring games at Rutgers and Penn State, and perhaps some others.
"Maryland has talked about offering. They just have to review my film again and compare me to some other kids.
"Syracuse and UConn are strong possibilities for offers according to my coach.
"Penn State is putting seven to nine offers out to linemen. Coach Anderson and coach Kennedy have both approved me for an offer. Coach Paterno is going to make the final decision."
Foose also went on to list his favorites, in order -- Rutgers, Penn State, Boston College, Maryland and Pitt.
