Fobbs snags early offers, favors two

Fort Worth (Texas) Everman safety Johnny Fobbs, like his teammate Jonathan Jones, is now on the board with scholarship offers. They started in the latter part of May, but are now really starting to add up.
The first two for the 6-foot, 188-pound defender were from TCU and Nebraska. Fobbs recently added one from SMU this month and his favorites are starting to take shape.

"I'm leaning towards TCU and Arkansas right now," Fobbs said. "I'm heading down to the Arkansas camp next month. I'm also going to the Texas A&M camp in July as well. I went to Texas and TCU so far.
"TCU, I've known coach Chad Glasgow for a while and they're a program on the rise. Arkansas is a smaller town environment and I'm kind of a country boy growing up in Marshall, Texas originally. That would be new surroundings for me which would be nice."
Fobbs, who earned first-team all-district honors for his play at safety, had 53 total tackles last year with six interceptions and two tackles for loss.
Even though recruiting is on the rise, Fobbs isn't going to wait around long on a decision. His uncle will be helping him with the process.
"Now that things are picking up, I'm kind of looking at a lot of options," Fobbs said. "I'm trying to figure everything out. I'll probably have my decision made sometime this month or after next."
