A trio of prospects from Miamisburg (Ohio) High traveled to Indiana for the Hoosier's junior day on Sunday. Three-star cornerback Chris Fobbs broke down the trip.
"The vibe was nice. It felt like I was at home and everybody welcomed each other," Fobbs said. "We got to see the locker rooms and some of their new facilities. We went to the basketball game also, so it was pretty good. I liked it."
Fobbs was joined by fellow three-star class of 2015 defensive back Chris Young and their freshman offensive line teammate Josh Myers and they were able to get individual time with the Hoosier's coaching staff.
"We ate with the coaches so we had a good bonding with the coaches," Fobbs said. "We got to go into the meeting rooms with your position coaches. I had to go with the outside linebackers, though, so that wasn't what I expected.
"I spent time with my position coach and then coach (William) Inge. Coach Inge was cool, I liked him. They want me and Chris to come back down for their camp. The corner coach wanted to evaluate me and him separately and see our technique and 40 speed."
The 6-foot-1, 190-pound Fobbs is next planning to attend a junior day at Purdue next Saturday and is also looking to get down to Cincinnati soon. He holds an offer from Toledo, but is seeing interest from several schools across the region.
"Michigan State's recruiter keeps emailing me and talking to my coach about me," Fobbs said. "They want me to come up there and see the campus, talk to the coaches. I am going to work that out to go up there because I really like Michigan State."
