FNL a good experience for Harris
Tampa (Fla.) Hillsborough junior linebacker Nigel Harris wrapped up his summer camp visits with a strong performance at Florida's Friday Night Lights a week ago.
"It was a fun experience," Harris said. "I had never been to Friday Night Lights so it was a good experience. If I could do it again, I would do it again just for the fun of it. There was a lot of competition out there. I felt like I was able to go out there on the field and showcase my skills, show them what I have got against the top competition out there."

The 6-foot-1, 194-pound outside linebacker received some feedback from Will Muschamp's staff.
"Coach (D.J.) Durkin was complimenting me on my footwork," Harris said. "I think I definitely showed them that I have been working on what I need to get better at and that I have improved. They talked to me about getting a little bigger in the weight room and to just keep doing what I am doing."
Harris, who held offers from Alabama-Birmingham and Vanderbilt prior to the event, believes he is on the right path to landing a big in-state offer.
"Florida hasn't offered me yet," Harris said. "They basically said they are going to keep an eye on me. They are going to keep an eye on me. They want to see me put on some more weight. I think once I do that they will offer."
In addition to visiting Florida, Harris also attended camps at Auburn and South Florida.
"At Auburn, it was real fun and it was pretty neat because they showed us around campus and showed us a new facility they plan on building," Harris said. "I also liked what they have shown me so far about the educational system that they offer."
"USF was fun too," Harris added. "They have nice practice fields. I didn't really go around their facilities, I just went on the field and practiced, did the camp. I liked working with their coaches. I am pretty familiar with their program with being from here."
The Central Florida prospect has made no definitive plans for any visits during the season.
