Floyd talks about his UCF decision

Dontravious Floyd is a three-star prospect from Homestead (Fla.) South Dade High School that made his decision late last week. He had scholarship offers from Auburn, Vanderbilt, USF, Iowa State, Florida International and Troy. So who did he commit to on Thursday?
"I committed to UCF (Thursday)," Floyd said. "It was mainly family reasons. I wanted to stay close to home so I could be near my family and they could see me family. I wanted to stay in the state of Florida. I love the campus, the coaching staff, the players and the chemistry all the way around."

It was thought that Floyd was headed to the Tigers because he has been leaning to Auburn for some time. But in the end it didn't work out that way.
"At first it was tough, but after talking with my family it was ok. At first I was headed to Auburn but I decided to stay home. Now it feels like a relief and no longer a distraction."
Floyd is one of the top wide receiver recruits in Dade County. He has good size (6-2 and 210 pounds) and hands. Although Floyd lacks great speed, he's physical and can make the tough catch in traffic.
"Besides a state championship I want double digit touchdowns and I want to make All-Dade. Floyd camped at Miami this summer.
