Flowers holds pair of offers

Hutchinson (Kan.) C.C. was loaded with Division I prospects on its roster last year so it is no surprise that the class of 2013 is also receiving interest from colleges all over the country. However, it is a little surprising that linebacker Kenny Flowers already holds offers since he has yet to play a game for the Blue Dragons.
"I was offered by Texas A&M a little while back," the 6-foot-2, 225-pound Flowers said. "Indiana University also offered me and that's it so far in terms of offers. I'm hearing a lot from a few other schools too. The main ones I'm hearing from are UGA, Ohio and Arkansas.

"Since I did redshirt it has caught me off guard for sure. I really didn't expect the attention like this at all to be honest."
Flowers is making an unofficial visit this upcoming weekend to one of the schools that has offered him.
"I'm going down to Texas A&M this weekend for their spring game," he said. "There's four of us going - me, Toby Johnson, Ben Bradley and Antonio Longino.
"I've been talking to the linebacker coach from there, coach (Matt) Wallerstedt. He's excited to meet me there and show me around and everything."
As far as early favorites Flowers does admit that one program has his interest piqued.
"UGA is definitely sticking out to me right now," he said. "I would like to go somewhere like that back home. I'm from Georgia - I went to Parkview High School. UGA is really the one school I'm high on right now."
Flowers will have three years to play three wherever he signs.
