Chekwa talked about the two schools and his visits.
"Ohio State was great," Chekwa said. "I liked it. I liked the facilities. The coaches are nice. I liked the speed and strength trainers. They have a lot of stuff to build you up and get you faster and better.
"At Maryland I liked the players. The players were guys I could talk to. I had fun there."
When asked if he liked one visit better than the other, Chekwa said, "They were both good visits. I can't choose one as being the best right now."
Chekwa will make at least one more trip.
"I plan to visit Wake Forest Jan. 6," Chekwa said. "I'm not sure if I'll visit anyone else. I'm still looking at Georgia Tech.
"All of them offered (a scholarship). I don't have a favorite."
Did the cold weather in Ohio bother Chekwa?
"It didn't bother me," he said. "It snowed a lot. It was the first time I've seen snow. But it didn't bother me."
The 6-foot-0 and 165 pound Chekwa intercepted four passes his junior year and seven more during his senior season. He is the No. 50 cornerback prospect in the Rivals.com player rankings.
