Floridas top OL remains wide open

The recruitment of Florida’s top-rated offensive lineman looks like it may come down to the very last days of the process.
Four-star Tallahassee Lincoln guard Calvin Darity says, with four official visits remaining, that he has yet to name a leader or even co-leaders.

“I’m kind of in the same spot as I was before the holidays,” he said. “I’ve only had one visit (Nebraska – 12/12) so I don’t have any big preference right now. I haven’t been able to separate the schools too much.”
This month finds him preparing for visits to North Carolina on the 9th, LSU on the 16th, Tennessee on the 23rd and Florida State on the 30th.
Asked how the coaching situation at Nebraska affects his decision-making process, Darity said: “Not that much. I had a good visit there. I liked the campus and the people a lot. They have great football tradition and a really good math program, two of the things I’m looking for in a school. I’m watching the situation pretty close, but it hasn’t affected my opinion of them.”
Many expect the hometown Seminoles to be in the best position to land Darity (6-4, 275, 4.9), especially since they hold the fifth and final visit date. But he isn’t giving any hints if that’s the case.
“They’re the same as everybody else right now,” he said. “I like all five schools about the same. I’m going to give all of them a good look on my visits.”
