Florida WR Teriq Phillips wants a Virginia Tech offer

THE LATEST: Teriq Phillips has offers from N.C. State and Temple and he is hearing from numerous schools that are planning to evaluate him this spring, but there is another school up north that plays in the ACC that he is really wanting to hear from.

Virginia Tech is a school that has had his attention for a couple of years now and the 6-foot-2, 185 pound wide receiver out of Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas has yet to hear from the Hokies. He hopes that changes soon.

IN HIS OWN WORDS: "I used to like Clemson, then Virginia Tech became my favorite school about a year or so ago," said Phillips. "I was watching some video on Youtube and I started to watch a lot on Virginia Tech. I like the way they play. I think their style fits me. I have done some research and they are strong in business there and that is what I want to major in. They see to have a lot that I like, so I really want that offer. It almost seems it is meant for me to go there. I would really think about committing if I get that offer from Virginia Tech. I have not heard anything yet, but I hope to see them this spring."

RIVALS TAKE: Phillips is the younger brother of Louisville wide receiver Devante Peete, so the Cardinals are another program to watch if they decide to move on him. He really likes Virginia Tech and he called that potential offer a "game-changer". Phillips is taking the recruiting process slow right now and he wants to see who comes in and offers this spring during the evaluation period.
