Florida WR sporting seven offers

Ft. Lauderdale (Fla.) Dillard wide receiver Kelvin Chandler is primed for a big senior season coming off a successful spring and summer.
“I feel like I really had a good summer,” he said. “I got a few offers and I had a really good camp at LSU and Auburn. I feel like both of those schools were very interested in me after the camps. I was one of the biggest and fastest guys they had. I wasn’t getting anything from them before those, but they started sending me a lot of stuff after that.”

Chandler (6-2, 190, 4.48) has the combination of size, strength and speed which has already drawn offers from Pittsburgh, Iowa, Kentucky, Wisconsin, Rutgers, Duke and Northern Illinois.
He said his current top schools would include Florida State, Iowa, Pitt, LSU and Auburn.
“Florida State was always one of my favorite schools growing up,” Chandler said. “They’ve always got strong teams, and they like to throw the ball a lot.”
Chandler said he’s not in a hurry to make a decision, though.
“I’m really just chillin’ right now,” he said. “I want to see if some other schools offer before I really get too far into it.”
Asked what some of the key factors would be in his recruitment, Chandler said: “Someone with a big program, a chance to win a championship and a passing offense.”
Academically, Chandler maintains a 3.0 GPA. He is waiting to take his test again this fall.
