Florida WR picks up first two offers

One name that is going to become very popular in recruiting circles very soon is that of New Smyrna Beach, Fla. wide receiver Lattarius Thomas, who had a tremendous NIKE camp in Miami and has now picked up his first scholarship offer.
"I got an offer from Louisville in writing not too long ago and Nebraska came by the school today and told me that they were going to offer me," Thomas said. "Florida State is coming by tomorrow, Florida is coming Monday and Miami is coming on the May 13. Auburn has also been by already."

The 6-foot-2, 195-pound Thomas runs the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds and has a ridiculous 35-inch vertical jump.
"Right now South Carolina, Central Florida, Florida , Florida State, Miami, Louisville, Auburn and Nebraska would be my favorites right now," Thomas said. "They have all been by or set a time to come by except for South Carolina."
As a junior he caught 32 passes for 525 yards and nine touchdowns and averaged 16.4 yards per carry. On defense he collected 15 tackles and two interceptions.
"I am looking for a school that will be able to offer me a good education," Thomas said. "I want to make sure I have a degree to fall back in case football doesn't work out. Distance is not really something that will factor into my decision."
To start the recruiting process Thomas was looking mainly at the Florida schools, but interest from other schools has opened his eyes a bit.
"I am definitely interested in Auburn, especially now that they have come by and showed interest," Thomas said. "I really like Louisville too, I expect them to show up sometime this month too."
