Florida WR Makes Soft Commitment

Tampa (Fla.) Plant wide receiver Mike Williams shocked everyone with his latest news.
“I committed on Friday,” said the 6-foot-5, 200-pounder with 4.5-second speed in the 40-yard dash. “I verbally committed to Florida. I still want to take some visits, but I didn’t want to pass up the chance to play in that offense.”

Williams will take visits to Purdue (December 1st), Virginia (December 8th) and North Carolina (January 11th), but is very happy with his decision.
“I’m going to the Florida State game but I’m not sure if that will be an official or unofficial visit,” he said. “Florida just seemed like the place for me.”
So far this season, Williams has 21 catches for 380 yards and five touchdowns. His team is 2-3. Williams had been leaning towards Virginia for quite some time, but decided that staying closer to home was better. He also had offers from Florida State, Michigan State, Clemson, Southern California and others.
