Florida WR headed to Big East

Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Dillard wide receiver Chris McClover has always seemed to have a thing for Rutgers. He took his visit there in December and made a commitment that somehow went unnoticed. The question is though, just how firm is this commitment?
"I committed to Rutgers right when I got back on December 12," McClover said. "I consider myself a soft commitment right now. Utah has been trying to get me to take a visit out there and I finally told them I would so I am going out there this weekend."

McClover certainly has the size to be a solid college wideout with his 6-foot-4, 171-pound frame. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.75 seconds at the NIKE camp in Miami, but did not have a good day.
"I told Florida International and Florida Atlantic that I was going to cancel my visit there, but now I think I am going to take it again, but I just don't know when," McClover said. "Coach Reggie is recruiting me for Rutgers and we have a real good relationship and all so I feel real good about my commitment."
While McClover is looking around at other options it appears like it will take a lot to turn him away from his original pledge.
"I felt at home when I visited Rutgers when I took my official visit," McClover said. "I really like the coaches a lot they are really cool guys and I have a good relationship with them. I could definitely picture myself there for the next four years."
He runs track for his high school and participates in the 400 meter and 200 meter. He is ranked as No. 2 in the county in the 400, which is one of the most competitive counties in America.
