Florida WR has Pac-10 favorite

Oakland Park (Fla.) Northeast wide receiver Darrian Williams has seen his stock soar in recent weeks, picking up multiple scholarship offers from Division I-A football programs. He spoke with Rivals.com about some of the schools on his list, including one Pac-10 favorite.
"So far I have more than 20 offers from Division I-A schools," Williams said. "The good thing about my game is that I am not afraid to fight for the ball. I also have good explosion."

The 6-foot-1, 185-pounder has an early favorite.
"Right now, it would be Arizona State," Williams said. "I am going to take my first official visit up there (the weekend of Sept. 9).
"My coach knows a lot about ASU and is good friends with my recruiting coach Bill Miller. They are also in the Pac-10, which has a lot of great teams like USC."
Tennessee, Pittsburgh, Central Florida and Auburn round out his top five. Williams told Rivals.com what he liked about each of those schools.
Tennessee: "It's a real good school. It's one of the best."
Pittsburgh: "It's a real good school, too. They also play in a real good conference."
Central Florida: "I went to their junior day the other day and liked it. They have a real nice campus and a good program."
Auburn: "I really don't know too much about them. I really like that they are a traditional power and the atmosphere. I have enjoyed watching them on TV."
Ole Miss, Rutgers and Minnesota also are involved with Williams.
Williams caught 31 passes for 415 yards and six touchdowns in 2005.
