Landel Bembo has added a new offer and is picking up more
interest late in the recruiting process.
"UCF has offered now," said the Rivals.com
Florida
Top 100 team member. "I have offers from them and Syracuse,
and I think there's going to be a couple of more coming pretty soon. Indiana
and Bowling Green have been calling a lot and looking at my film."
Bembo (5-9, 165, 4.4) has an official visit set up
for Syracuse on Dec. 6. He's working on a date for Central Florida, but will
wait to see his scholarship picture before determining the others.
"Right now, UCF probably has a slight lead," he
said. "It's close to home and my family and friends. It's a good program
that's coming up every year, and I'd probably have a chance for more playing
time early in my career.
"But I still like Syracuse a lot. They were the
first team that ever recruited me. They were my first offer, so that means a
lot to me. They've had a lot of faith in my ability, so I want to go up
there with an open mind and see what it's like."
Bembo caught 33 passes for 510 yards and five
touchdowns as a senior. He also returned a punt for a touchdown.
