Florida tight end looking in-state

It's no secret why Miami, Florida and Florida State are traditionally among the elite teams in the country. It is also no secret how the state of Florida has room for a school outside of the big three to ease into the No. 2 spot in the AP poll. Florida is all about talent, and growing up in Florida, many of the top prospects want to stick around. Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin's Sean Stackhouse is no exception.
Jackson, a 6-foot-4 240-pound tight end has picked up offers from Kentucky, Miami, NC State and recently East Carolina. But the Florida product isn't quite ready to pack up his bags yet.

"I got an offer from ECU that came in last Wednesday," Stackhouse said. "That was kind of expected. I'd been talking to them a lot and I like it, but right now I'm hoping to go somewhere in the state of Florida. I'm going to try to play in Florida but if that doesn't happen I'll play ball out of state."
With one current in-state offer, it would seem that Miami would be the clear leader for Stackhouse but the senior doesn't see it that way yet.
"It could be Miami," he said. "But I'm trying to play tight end. They're looking at me as an athletic tackle."
Stackhouse has been in contact with multiple in-state schools recently, with one visit planned for this weekend.
"I've been talking to UCF," he said. "I talked to USF for a while but that was more at the beginning. I was talking to FAU and FIU a little bit but they've calmed down. I'm going to UCF this weekend."
Visiting UCF for the first time since seeing the campus during a junior day, Stackhouse is looking forward to the visit.
"Oh yeah, that's one of the high ones on my list," he said. "It's just the area. It's relatively close to home, the facilities, the coaches. They're building it there."
As for other visits, Stackhouse will get out of the state for at least one school
"I think for a visit after the season, I'm trying to take an official to Kentucky, sometime in December probably," he said.
