Florida TE has Cards leading after unofficial

Fort Myers (Fla.) Riverdale tight end Mat Williams made the trek north to Louisville for an unofficial visit. The 6-foot-4, 225-pounder enjoyed his trip to Kentucky to witness the Cardinals impressive victory over Miami.
"The visit went really good," he said. "I got up there Saturday morning and ate lunch with all the other recruits before going to a pep rally. Then I went on to the field for the pregame and then watched the game.

"I liked the game a lot. The atmosphere was crazy and everybody was going nuts. It was very exciting and they won which was great to see. I especially liked that they got the ball to the tight end. That's definitely a plus and I do like the offense they run too."
Before leaving the school, Williams talked briefly with the coaches including Bobby Petrino.
"They all basically told me that they really want me up there and are going to do their best to try and get me," he said. "After that visit, I can say I definitely like Louisville a lot, but I'm planning to take other visits too."
The two-star prospect knows which five schools will receive officials from him after the season.
"I'm looking at going back to Louisville as well as South Florida, Ole Miss, Wake Forest and Pittsburgh," he said. "I like those schools because of the way they run their offenses and the fact they've been recruiting me the most.
"If anyone stands out from the bunch it's probably Louisville since I've been there twice. I have had good times on both of my visits and they are a good school."
On the season, Williams hasn't seen much action.
"Our team is doing alright as we're 2-2," he said. "I think I'm playing ok too. I have five catches for around 50 yards on the season. I haven't been thrown the ball a lot, but my blocking has been pretty good."
