Florida TE commits to Syracuse

Beckett Wales is a tight end prospect from Venice (Fla.) High School. He visited Syracuse this weekend and made his decision that he wanted to play for the Orangemen.
"That is true," Wales said.. "It just felt like I had been there for a long time. It was really nice. There's only one place this program is going and that's up. And I want to be a part of that. Coach (Doug) Marrone is a great guy that brings experience. So is his staff."

Wales had offers from Indiana, Duke, UAB, Iowa, FAU and Troy. He will play tight end for the Orangemen.
"The best part of my game is I can block and receive and create mis-matches at that position."
Wales, 6-4 and 215 pounds, finished with 37 receptions, for 438 yards and seven touchdowns.
