MIAMI -- Yulkeith Brown knows there’s no reason for urgency. The class-of-2021 athlete already holds a number of offers, but he’s not letting that fact accelerate the process. As far as he’s concerned, his recruitment is just getting warmed up.

That’s not to say there aren't a few schools that have established themselves as stalwarts, however. It’s early, sure, but Brown doesn’t mind tossing out names of programs that have piqued his interest.

“Right now, I like Penn State, Pitt, Syracuse and Florida State,” Brown said on Tuesday.

IN HIS WORDS:

On his last visit to Florida State

“It was cool. I liked the campus and I like the uniforms. I like the white ones.”

On his future visit plans.

“I might try to get up to Penn State for sure. Oh, and Pitt. I want to go back to FSU for their camp.”

On which Florida State coach he likes most

"Coach [Telly] Lockette. I like him, man. He’s real cool.”

On his timetable for a commitment

“I’m thinking probably my senior year, but it could be sometime at the end of my junior year. It won’t be, like, really soon. It’ll be one of those.
