Florida star waiting patiently

Sebastian (Fla.) Sebastian River cornerback Earl Everett had an impressive NIKE camp down in Miami in May. Ever since, he's seen his stock and college interest on the rise, but is still waiting on his first scholarship offer.
"I am getting a lot of stuff from Clemson, Tennessee, Kentucky, Auburn, Rutgers, Boston College and Penn State," Everett said. "Some of those letters have been handwritten, but they all send stuff pretty regularly."

The 5-foot-11, 186-pound Everett attended the Miami NIKE camp where he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.52 seconds, ran a 4.19 second shuttle, posted a 33-inch vertical jump and did 16 reps on the bench press.
"Florida State is my top school still," Everett said. "I have always wanted to go there and that is definitely my top choice. Auburn, Louisville and Florida are all schools that I am also looking at."
As a junior Everett rushed for 944 yards and 13 touchdowns in eight games. He is receiving interest as a cornerback, but has never played the position except in the spring game when he collected six tackles.
"Whatever school shows me the most interest is going to go a long way," Everett said. "Right now for me that school is Kentucky. They have been recruiting me hard for a while, they came to my school in May and told me they were going to be watching me."
Everett's athleticism allows him to get a look from many different colleges because of his ability to play several different positions.
"I have gotten stuff from colleges as a running back, defensive back and special teams," Everett said. "My preference would be to play running back, but I would definitely play on defense or wherever if that is what they wanted me to do."
