There are no boring moments when it comes to recruiting in the Sunshine State, and this season has been no exception. Prospects all over the state have seen their recruiting stock fluctuate as the 2018 season progresses. Today, Rivals.com has a look at five Florida-based players that have seen their stock improve in recent weeks.

Battle has grown both physically and as a defensive back over the last year and is looking more and more like a truly elite prospect. He was, by far, the most impressive player on the field in his team’s loss to a loaded Miami Central team a few weeks back and showcased impressive closing speed to go along with his solid length.

Battle is committed to Ohio State but taking other visits as Signing Day approaches. Battle recently toured Oklahoma and will likely continue to have a final look around in the months to come. Whatever the case, it’s clear that he’s bit under-ranked at this juncture.

Crowley continues to post gaudy rushing totals including back-to-back 200-plus-yard efforts. The Miami commit is running with more power and has shown an ability to routinely break tackles this season. The high three-star prospect is making a case to earn a fourth star.

Crowley has no plans to take visits to schools other than Miami. And while that may change down the stretch, the Jacksonville-area star seems solid in his commitment.

A class of 2021 prospect, Williams is a relatively new name on the radar. The Plant City High School sophomore is off to a fantastic start this season and has been absolutely electric when he catches the ball in space.

He holds early offers from schools such as Miami, Mississippi State, USF, Kentucky and North Carolina. Williams visited UM for the Hurricanes’ game with Florida State and seems particularly high on the in-state school. Kentucky and North Carolina are also heavily in the mix at this juncture. More offers are likely in store for the dynamic receiver, however, so his pecking order is subject to change many times over.

Nunn has taken over more than one game this season and his versatility and speed are becoming impossible to deny. The three-star prospect had a solid offseason and his carrying that momentum into his senior year.

A one-time Syracuse commit, the dynamic athlete recently backed away from his pledge and is thought to be leaning toward Miami, though nothing on that front is official. Nunn plays both ways on the high school level but his college future is likely at defensive back.

Washington, whose older brother played defensive back at Florida, had a monster game against a good Oakleaf (Fla.) High School team and in in midst of an impressive senior season. Washington has solid speed and good length and possesses a skill set that could help any number of Power Five programs.

As things stand now, Washington seems highest on Duke and Nebraska, but he’s the kind of prospect that may grab a late offer or two. He’s certainly one to watch down the stretch. And while he’s probably not a complete enough player to grab four-star status just yet, he’s better than his current ranking.
