The NCAA now permits spring official visits and the first ever such trips are already in the books. Today, we have a look at the major Florida-based prospects that took advantage of the new bylaw and how the trips they took this spring may impact their recruitments going forward. Below, we’ve outlined the five most important official visits of the spring and the impact each made.

MORE BIG APRIL VISITS: West | Southeast | Midwest | Mid-Atlantic

TE'COREY COUCH TO MICHIGAN

This grabs the list’s top spot because it produced a commitment flip. The longtime Tennessee pledge committed to Michigan just after leaving campus, making things official before his plane left the runway. Tennessee fans insist that retaining Couch wasn’t a priority for the new Vols staff, but Jim Harbaugh probably doesn’t care either way. Couch, who will play corner for the Wolverines, attends powerhouse Chaminade-Madonna High School with fellow Michigan target John Dunmore, a Rivals100 wide receiver. His ties to Dunmore won’t guarantee a package deal, but they certainly can’t hurt.

BRAYLEN INGRAHAM TO OKLAHOMA

The Sooners are on a roll as of late, and the program’s spring game resulted in a frenzy of commitments. Ingraham, a four-star prospect from Florida, was on hand to watch those dominoes fall. OU will have to battle in-state Miami if it hopes to land the defensive end’s commitment and, make no mistake, the Sooners winning that battle would be a bit of an upset. Still, the way Lincoln Riley is recruiting as of late makes it seem oddly possible.

ANTHONY SOLOMON TO MICHIGAN

Solomon committed to Miami and took an official visit to Michigan nine days later because that’s how modern recruiting works. The visit isn’t big in the way that it led Solomon to start leaning away from Miami and toward Michigan, but instead in the way that it signaled that the four-star linebacker’s recruitment remains subject to change. The Hurricanes may well land Solomon’s letter of intent, but they will likely have to put in some work this fall to do so. That much is clear.

JOHN DUNMORE TO MICHIGAN

Dunmore, a one-time Florida commit, is considered a Florida State lean these days but has always been high on Michigan. Getting the Rivals100 wide receiver on campus in the spring has to be considered a victory for Harbaugh, who is fighting dozens of other major programs in the race to land the four-star prospect. Dunmore was in Ann Arbor when his high school teammate, Te’Cory Couch, pledged his services to the Wolverines, which is certainly a mark in the pros column for Harbaugh. Michigan may not land Dunmore, but it seems it will almost definitely be in the running until the end.

KHRIS BOGLE TO TENNESSEE

The destination: Tennessee

Will Tennessee actually land Bogle? Probably not. But getting the Rivals100 prospect on campus and having him seriously consider the program is a victory for a new coaching staff looking to flex its muscle in Florida. Jeremy Pruitt is yet to land his first Sunshine State-based recruit and having a recognizable prospect like Bogle appear seriously interested may help the program seem in vogue. Tennessee’s emphasis on Florida is obviously working in some form or fashion, as prospects like Bogle are paying close attention.
