Florida sleeper gets surprise visit

Every year there are a few prospects that few know about that ends up getting a big time offer in mid to late January and everyone is left asking where the kid came from. Tallahassee (Fla.) Leon fullback Gavin Grigg may fall into that category this year.
Though he does not have any offers, word is starting to leak out about his talent and one Big Ten school has already been by to check him out.

“I don’t have any offers right now,” Grigg said. “Recruiting has been going pretty slow for the most part. North Alabama and Georgia Southern have been recruiting me for a while. The week of Thanksgiving though, Penn State came by my school to talk to me and get some film.”
The 6-foot, 236-pound Grigg runs the 40-yard dash in 4.75 seconds. He rushed 901 yards and 27 touchdowns, while collecting 227 yards and three touchdowns receiving as a junior.
“My top schools are the ones that are recruiting me plus Auburn, Florida State and Wake Forest,” Grigg said. “I went to all of the Florida State home games this year. Right now I don’t have any kind of trips or anything set up.”
As a senior he rushed for almost 1,500 yards and 17 touchdowns.
