Florida safety waiting on first offer

Saint Augustine (Fla.) safety Rashard Hall is still waiting on his first scholarship offer, but is getting plenty of attention from several Division I-A programs.
"Illinois and Georgia Tech are showing me interest," he said. "I'm on everybody's recruiting list in Florida. South Florida, Central Florida, Florida and schools like that."

This summer, Hall plans to show what he can do at several summer camps.
"I'm definitely going up to Georgia Tech, to Tennessee and coach Greg Mattison wants me to come to Florida's camp," Hall said. "I am going to try to go to a few others. I might be going to Auburn's camp, but the first three are for sure."
Academics and several other factors will be important in terms of Hall's final decision.
"My major is going to be in business, so that's going to be a big thing," he said. "I want to check out what the school offers as far as that is concerned. I also want to get some early playing time."
Hall had seven interceptions during his junior year and talked about his ability at that position.
"From the safety position, I like to be over the top," he said. "As a safety you can't let anybody get behind you. They way we swarm to the ball as a defense really has helped me because by the time I get to the play, I can just finish it off."
The 6-foot-3, 185-pounder had 61 tackles and two forced fumbles to go along with his interception count in 2006.
