Titusville (Fla.) strong safety Renford Parkes has scheduled his first two official visits. He's also been quite the popular guy this month since the contact period began-- Parkes has been contacted by over 20 schools since September 1st.

"I'm going out to Stanford on December 6th and then to UCF on January 3rd," Parkes said. "Those are my top two and I've set those up. My next three I've got to choose those carefully."
Parkes has been talking to coaches on a nightly basis and he says a new school has now entered into the picture--Auburn.
"I want Auburn to offer me because I want to give them a visit," Parkes said. "I really like Auburn. I'm going to send them some tape this week and hopefully I'll get an offer because I want to take a visit up there. I've also talked to UConn, N.C. State, Miami, and South Florida. Those are just a few of them and I've gotten a lot more. I get like three or four calls a night."
Like almost every recruit in the Sunshine State Parkes was in Gainesville last week for the Florida-Miami clash.
"It was a good experience being in the Swamp," Parkes said. "There were a lot of recruits there. The Gators got spanked though but it was a nice atmosphere. It was real loud. I had fun. I think next month I'm going to the Miami-Florida State game."
Titusville High School got off on a winning note last week with a 24-3 victory over Satellite Beach. Parkes had an impressive night.
"I had a total of 21 tackles and I had a kickoff return for a touchdown that was 99 yards. It was a long run," Parkes said.
THS will go for 2-0 this week against Eau Gallie.
"They're pretty good," Parkes said. "They beat Astronaut last week. We've got a little challenge ahead of us. We should be all right though because we're pretty good ourselves. We should be pretty good."
Renford Parkes still lists UCF and Stanford as his top two schools. He said Auburn, N.C. State, Florida, and Florida State would round out his favorites to make a top six. UCF and Stanford are the only schools to offer out of those six, but Parkes expects to add a few more soon. He has seven total scholarship offers at the present.
"I think I'm going to get a few more in the next few weeks though," Parkes said. "A lot of coaches are calling me and I'll be getting some more film out. I guess some of them waiting on seeing some senior film before they offer."
