Florida RB visits Cards

The Louisville Cardinals have been met with nice success while working the fertile recruiting grounds of the Sunshine State in recent years.
Another player who is showing high interest in the Cards is Jacksonville (Fla.) Jackson all-purpose back George Stripling, who took an official visit to the Derby City this weekend.

“Everything went well,” he said. “I liked the city and the school. They have a real nice stadium and some other good facilities. But most of all, I liked what they told me about coming in and getting on the field early. They feel like I can play a lot as a freshman.
“Michael Bush was my host. He was cool. I liked all their players. I seemed to fit in with those guys. They have some other guys from Florida. That was good to see.”
Stripling (6-1, 180, 4.4) rushed for 2,102 yards and 26 touchdowns as a senior.
He’s also considering Central Florida and Georgia Tech. He visited the Knights on Jan. 9 and has a date with the Yellow Jackets on Jan. 30.
“They’re all about equal right now,” he said. “But Louisville may have a slight advantage after being up there this weekend. You’ll have to ask me after my last visit.”
