Gross has scheduled his first two official visits and has a pair of
other trips ready to finalize.
"I've
got Vanderbilt on Jan. 17 and Florida State on Jan. 24," he said. "I'm
working on dates with Georgia and Florida now."
Gross (6-0, 195, 4.4) said
he has scholarship offers from Vanderbilt and Georgia. He's still awaiting
word from the Seminoles and Gators.
"Florida State has always been my team, so they'd be hard to beat if they
offer," he said. "Their coaches came by school and talked to me the other
day. They told me to be patient and maybe things would work out. They said
they like my film."
Unless the Seminoles offer, Vanderbilt may be in the best position.
"I like them a lot," he said. "That's a good opportunity for someone to
come in and make an early impact. That's what coach (J.D.) Hall told me last
week when he came down here to visit. I've talked to all of their offensive
coaches at one time or another, so it seems like they're making me a pretty
big priority."
Gross is a member of the Rivals.com
Florida
Top 100 team. He rushed for more than 1,400 yards and 21
touchdowns as a senior in leading Suwannee HS to a 9-3 record.
