The playoffs are not going to be possible for Starke (Fla.) Bradford running back James Jamison but going into their last game this evening, that doesn't mean the three-star runner is giving up on playing hard for his final game as a senior.
Jamison says that had they been able to finish their games, the season could have gone a lot different. However, several leads were erased by mental errors and now the 5-foot-10, 189-pound prospect is playing for pride.
"We would get up early on a team and then never come out on top," Jamison said. "I mean we just lost a lot of close games. We just want to go out with a bang and finish strong."
Temple and UCF are the two schools on the offer list for the No. 79 rated prospect in Florida.
"I haven't set up anything for visits," Jamison said. "I'm waiting to hear from Wake Forest, Middle Tennessee, and Villanova about offers. All of those schools are going to wait until I finish the final game of the season."
Jamison does have a few favorites.
"Right now, I've got two," he said. "It's Wake Forest and Central Florida. Wake is a great team that plays a lot of Division I schools. They play against a lot of teams in this area and since those teams didn't show any interest in me, I would love the opportunity to go up against them to show what they missed."
Signing Day expects to be the most probable timeframe for Jamison's decision. He is also set to visit UCF on Dec. 10.
"That was the first team to offer me and I've been to a couple of games," he said. "The coaches impressed me and the team impresses me."
