One of the Sunshine State's top backs continues to
be in a holding pattern of sorts with one scholarship offer.

Reggie Davis, a member of the Rivals.com
Florida
Top 100 team, has a longstanding offer from Boston College on
the table, but has been perplexed by the lack of other major interest.
"No others yet," he said. "I don't know what they're
all waiting on. I feel like I've proven myself this year. I'm having a real
good season."
Davis (6-2, 220, 4.5) has rushed for 1,069 yards and
11 touchdowns through seven games. He's become Godby's featured back this
season after sharing the role as a junior, when he recorded 400 yards on the
ground.
Although new offers have been slow to develop, he
continues to get regular calls. Davis said Boston College, Auburn, Florida,
Central Florida, Indiana and UAB have all been in contact in the last two
weeks.
"It sounds like it's getting pretty close with UCF
and UAB," he said. "They've seen me play, seen a lot of film on me. They
said they really like what I'm doing. Both of them want me to make a visit."
Davis indicated he would likely visit Boston
College, Auburn, UAB and Central Florida. The fifth and final spot is "up
for grabs."
"Boston College is still my favorite since they've
been there all along," he said. "But I'd like to wait and see what these
Florida schools do. I'm hoping one of them will like what they see and come
through."
