Florida RB picks up first offers

Starke (Fla.) Bradford running back James Jamison was one of the top running backs in the state of Florida last year, but still may not be getting the respect he deserves. Now that he is on the recruiting radar that could all change.
"I have offers from Central Florida and Temple," Jamison said. "Ole Miss, Iowa, Florida State and Wake Forest all still recruit me pretty hard. They all send handwritten mail and text messages and stuff to me."

The 5-foot-10, 189-pound Jamison attended the Tallahassee NIKE camp where he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.61 seconds, ran a 4.65 second shuttle and posted a 27-inch vertical jump.
"Right now my top schools are Wake Forest, Central Florida, Duke and Florida State," Jamison said. "Distance is not a factor to me at all. I just want to go somewhere that I like the atmosphere, the coaches and the program. I would also like to get a chance to play early."
As a junior Jamison carried the ball 200 times for 1,400 yards and nine touchdowns. He also caught 38 passes for 40 yards and nine touchdowns.
"I am going to take a while to make a decision," Jamison said. "I want to see who all offers and be able to check out all of my options. I plan on taking my visits and going through the whole process."
Jamison is ranked as the No. 79 player in the state of Florida by Rivals.com.
