Florida RB lines up Tennessee visit

Melbourne, Fla., three-star running back Mike Hamilton has seen his stock shoot through the roof the past few months, and even though his team isn’t going to qualify for the Florida state playoffs he’s pretty excited about how things have gone this season.
“I am still really disappointed,” Hamilton, who is 6-foot-1 and 210 pounds, said. “This was my first time that we’ve never made the playoffs. I’ve never had it happen before. We lost to Osceola, 35-31. They scored on the last drive of the game. But I’m going to remain positive. We’re going to beat Titusville this weekend, and we’re going to go out on a positive note.”

Speaking of positive notes, Hamilton has noticed quite a bit of movement in his recruitment. With offers in writing from Tennessee and West Virginia, Hamilton said Florida, Florida State and Michigan coaches told him in the last two weeks that he has an oral offer from them and he hopes to add those schools to his visit list.
“They’re telling me they’re offering,” he said. “But I want to see it in writing first.”
But all of those teams are chasing Tennessee at this point.
“I’m really high on Tennessee,” he said. “I really like the coaches and the running back tradition there. They’re really excited about me, and I love talking to the coaches.”
Hamilton said he’ll be visiting Tennessee on November for an official visit when the Vols play host to Vanderbilt.
