Florida RB likes two early

Bushnell (Fla.) South Sumter running back Tony Smith has yet to pick up his first scholarship offer, but is getting plenty of attention from programs that are interested in the speedy back.
"I've been getting letters from Auburn, Miami, Florida and Mississippi State," he said. "Auburn or Florida State would be my favorites right now."

Smith talked about the reasons he has his eye on the Tigers and Noles early.
"Auburn has a good program over there," he said. "And I have always wanted to go to Florida State and play football."
Florida, Miami (Fla.) and South Florida also are programs of interest for Smith.
Smith knows what he is looking for in a college.
"I just want to have a good time up there wherever I go to and hopefully I will fit in real good," he said.
The 6-foot-1, 177-pounder, who totaled nearly 800 yards rushing during his junior season, feels like there are a couple of positions he could potentially play in college.
"I could play running back or wide receiver in college," Smith said. "My speed, agility and vision are all good."
Smith attended the Rivals.com Tampa Bay Junior Day on Feb. 17 at Clearwater Countryside High School in Clearwater, Fla.
