Florida RB Lentivone Lesane set to visit UCLA this month

The Latest: The offers have started to roll in for Class of 2018 running back Lentivone Lesane lately, with programs like Syracuse, Utah and UCLA joining his list in recent weeks. Even though things are just taking off for him and several more schools are likely to join the mix, Lesane said he’s going to take the schools that have already offered seriously and is planning on hitting the road to take visits soon. Rivals.com caught up with Lesane at the recent Miami stop of the Rivals 3-Stripe Camp Series presented by adidas to talk recruiting.

In His Words: “I was surprised to pick up that offer from UCLA. I think it’s a great program and I would really like to visit so I can see campus because it looks like a great place. I talk to Coach Foster almost every day and he keeps telling me do keep doing what I’m doing. I run track and they like that about me. I think Coach Foster is a great coach. He’s been to the NFL, he came from UCLA so he knows what it takes. He would be a good coach to help me reach my goals.”

On his fit in the UCLA offense: “They have a guy that’s like me in SoSo Jamabo so it shows that they like guys like me. They feel like I could be similar to him and have a big role.”

On visit plans: “I have a visit set for April 23. They’re having spring practice so I’ll be able to get to see them in action. I want to see what the players and coaches are like.”

Rivals Reaction: It’s still early but the fact that Lesane is making his way out to UCLA on his own dime at this point in the process it should be seen as a great sign for the Bruins efforts. It will be interesting to if any other schools join the mix prior to the visit and what type of feedback after he gets a chance to see UCLA up close.
