Florida RB heads to Army

Scott Jones made a decision earlier this week. Jones, from St. Augustine (Fla.) St. Joseph's Academy, committed to Army.
"I committed on Monday," Jones said. "I always wanted to go into the service. I went on a visit and was sold. My mom went and gave me the okay.

"I also like the coaching staff. They were very upfront and didn't promise me anything. They are all real cool."
In return for accepting a scholarship to Army Jones has to serve in the Army for five years. It's something he can't wait to do.
"It's an amazing feeling. I won't have a desk job. I get to protect my country. What's better than that?"
Jones will most likely play running back at the next level. But there's also a chance he could end up on the either side of the ball.
"It's because of my speed. I run a 4.4 forty and a 10.9 100 meters. I prefer offense because I like the ball in my hands. What's better than scoring?"
Jones, 5-9 and 185 pounds, rushed for 2,025 yards and 21 touchdowns this season.
