Florida RB has impressive offer sheet

Arcadia (Fla.) DeSoto running back Chris Clemons might be the best running back in the state of Florida that you’ve never heard about.
Clemons, who is 6-foot-1 and 180 pounds, rushed for more than 1,000 yards as a junior and already has offers from some of the nation’s top programs, but he often goes unmentioned when talking about the Sunshine State’s best.

“It’s Ok,” Clemons said. “I just go out there and do my thing. My goals this year are to at least win district and make the playoffs. I want to rush for between 1,500 and 2,000 yards. I figure if we do all that then the attention will come.”
But it already has from the college coaches.
Clemons lists Miami, Florida, Florida State, Clemson, Purdue, Pittsburgh and Auburn as his top teams. He doesn’t have offers from the Big Three in Florida, but does have scholarships from Auburn, Clemson, Michigan State, Pittsburgh, Purdue, South Carolina and Iowa State.
“I’m pretty open to this process,” Clemons, who is ranked as the nation’s No. 40 running back and a three-star player by Rivals.com, said. “I don’t know what I’m going to do. I don’t know yet.”
What he does know is that he’s worked hard this summer on becoming a better player.
“I’ve improved my vision,” he said. “I went out there and ran hard every day. I’m in great shape.”
