Florida RB has ACC leader

Seffner (Fla.) Armwood running back Demetrius McCray flew somewhat under the radar throughout much of the spring, but that all changed when he had several impressive showings at various summer camps.
“Really pretty much all of the same schools are recruiting me that have been,” McCray said. “I got an offer from Kent State recently, but that is about the only one, other than that Auburn, South Carolina, North Carolina, Indiana and South Florida have offered me a scholarship.”

The 6-foot-0, 180-pound McCray runs the 40-yard dash in an impressive 4.4 seconds and has a 325-pound bench press.
“I would say that my top five is still the same as it has been,” McCray said. “North Carolina, Auburn, South Carolina, South Florida and Indiana are my top five schools. At this point I would have to say that North Carolina is No. 1 on my list.”
As a junior McCray rushed for 1,394 yards and 20 touchdowns en route to leading his team to a 15-0 record and a state title. Through two games this season he has 10 carries for 109 yards and two touchdowns.
“I have not played much this year because we have been blowing teams out this year,” McCray said. “That is a good thing though because it means we are winning. I want to take my official visits before I commit. I know I am going to take visits to Auburn and South Florida and I haven’t decided on the others yet.”
