"That was the last team I expected to offer me," Williams said. "It really shocked me that they offered me because I have been thinking about visiting there and it's one of those schools I have thought about playing at."
The offer vaulted the Huskers into serious consideration.
"UCF, West Virginia and Nebraska are my top three," Williams said.
Phil Elmassian is recruiting Williams for the Cornhuskers.
Last weekend, Williams attended the Rivals.com Junior Day at Bishop Moore High in Orlando. After the program, he made an unofficial visit to Central Florida and came away impressed.
"It was amazing," he said. "That's the only school in Florida that has an indoor practice facility. I didn't expect the college to be as nice as it was, but when I got there, it was very, very nice."
Joe Gilbert is recruiting Williams for the Golden Knights.
Calvin Magee is leading the charge for West Virginia.
Boston College recently offered as well and Keith Willis is recruiting for the Eagles.
Williams will attend the Miami NIKE Camp on Saturday in Coral Gables, Fla.
