Florida RB garnering interest

South Florida is a hotbed for talent and college coaches from across the nation will be making the trek to the area throughout the rest of the recruiting process. Running back Branden Oliver may be one of the more overlooked prospects from the area.
The 5-foot-7, 185-pound back from Miami (Fla.) Southridge runs the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds and is poised to put together a strong senior season.

"I've heard from Colorado State, FIU, Ohio, Western Michigan, Vanderbilt, FAU and Bethune," Oliver said. "I'm going to some of the one-day camps. I'm going to FIU on Sunday and I'm thinking about going to Vanderbilt on (June) 21."
Oliver said the only coach he has spoken to has been from Colorado State but he has received plenty of mail from other schools.
"No, (there are) no favorites now," he said. "We've got two weeks before we get back (to practice). We'll just do team practices, work out and weight training."
Last year at Southridge, Oliver had 156 carries for 998 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also caught 12 passes for 123 yards.
He has not targeted a decision date yet.
