Florida RB entertaining three

Clearwater, Fla., running back Jason Harris has three schools that are squarely in the mix for his services, however, there are others out there that are not out of the hunt. He has scheduled his first three official visits, with the first one only a week away.
“I have set up three of my official visits,” Harris said. “I have a visit set up to Iowa State for December 17, North Carolina on January 14 and one to South Carolina for January 21. As of right now those are the only three offers I have. I had on from Boston College, but they called me back and said they wouldn’t be taking any more running backs this year.”

The 5-foot-11, 194-pound Harris runs the 40-yard dash in 4.55 seconds, has a 4.47 second shuttle and a 31-inch vertical jump. He also does 11 reps on the bench press.
“Right now those three would be my top three because they are recruiting me the hardest and have been there since the beginning,” Harris said. “Ole Miss, Akron, Ohio and Kentucky are also recruiting me pretty hard, but they have not offered yet. I would listen to anyone that offers me because I am just trying to keep things open and take some visits.”
Harris and his Clearwater High Tornadoes were ousted from the Florida state playoffs by Boca Ciega High School. In the 39-21 loss Harris finished with 95 yards on the ground and a 97-yard punt return for a touchdown.
He ended the season with 1,241 yards rushing and 16 touchdowns.
